About The All Village Singers
Our group has a rich performing history, of nearly 40 years. (It used to be called The Wilmette Chorus). We sing fun-filled and unique arrangements of many genres of music including pop, jazz, and show-tunes. Join your voice with ours to sing four-part harmony. Our Holiday repertoire is well-balanced between Hanukkah, Christian, and secular music. We present high-quality programs and continue improving our musical knowledge. While strong friendships develop, the group warmly welcomes new-comers. We function as a volunteer, non-profit organization under a Board of Directors, which includes our professional music director.
We rehearse in Glencoe, (see location below) and have members from the entire Chicago-land area. Anyone from age 18 to seniors are welcome. Most members have some choral-singing experience, but you may take advantage of our no-auditions & open-door policy. Caroling for the holidays is our fall season. And Spring rehearsals start are NOW thru every Wednesday (7-9 pm) after that until our performances in MAY - TBA - 5 shows between May 18th- and May 26th.
Where do we perform? Our performance venues vary around the North shore area...from churches in Wilmette or various locations in community centers, to the Evanston library or strolling/caroling on Central Street, or performances for senior centers, and even serenading folks busy at the bank in Northfield, and the Skokie library.
We love building up our community everywhere we sing!

Testimonials from singers:
"My wife & I started with AVS back in 2008. We belonged to our church choir but, were also wanting to sing in another group where we could sing a variety of music. |
"This is my first year with the group. I am struck by the dedication of its members and their commitment to making good music. To top it off the group is fun, nice, and very welcoming. The director, Rachel Sparrow, strives to bring out the best in each singer and to elevate us a group." |
